What we collect

When you create an account, we collect your email address and password (stored as a secure hash). When you use the service, we store the property names you create, the iCal feed URLs you add, and the calendar event data we fetch from those feeds. We also collect basic usage data such as login timestamps and sync activity. When you use our contact form, we collect your name, email address, and message. We may also collect your IP address, browser information, and a Google reCAPTCHA score to prevent spam.

How we use your data

We use your data to provide the MasterCalendar service: fetching, merging, and exporting your calendar feeds, sending you alerts about booking conflicts or sync issues, and communicating with you about your account. We use reCAPTCHA to protect against automated abuse. We do not sell, rent, or share your personal data with third parties for marketing purposes.

Third-party services

We use the following third-party services to operate MasterCalendar: - Supabase for database hosting and authentication - Vercel for application hosting - Postmark for transactional email delivery - Google reCAPTCHA v3 for spam prevention on our contact form Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We only share the minimum data necessary for each service to function.

Calendar data

We fetch calendar data from the iCal feed URLs you provide. This data may include booking details such as guest names, check-in and check-out dates, and platform-specific identifiers. We store this data only to provide the merging and sync service. We do not access calendars you have not explicitly connected.

Cookies and tracking

We use essential cookies for authentication (keeping you logged in). We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. Google reCAPTCHA may set its own cookies when the contact form is loaded.

Data retention

We retain your account data and calendar data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, we remove your personal data, properties, feed configurations, and cached calendar events. Some data may persist in encrypted backups for up to 30 days after deletion.

Your rights

You can export, correct, or delete your data at any time through your account settings. If you need assistance, contact us through our contact form. We will respond to data requests within 30 days.

Changes to this policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. If we make significant changes, we will notify you by email or by posting a notice on the site. Your continued use of MasterCalendar after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
